Some ways our families make birthdays extra special, super fun and unique!
1. Decorate the birthday boy or girl's bedroom or their bedroom door with streamers, signs, balloons, special notes, etc. Surprise them right when they wake up!
2. Add-a-pearl necklace - pearls are given to add onto the necklace for birthdays, special holidays, etc. (a google search will give you various vendors and more info.)
3. Enjoy birthday parties with family, friends or both! Enjoy being surrounded by those you love! Have fun with decorations, games, memories, cake, presents, etc.
4. Birthday cake for breakfast! Many families find that the early morning is the only time of the day that all members of the family are home - so enjoy cake while you're all together!
5. A Birthday Weekend Get-away! Let the birthday boy/girl/parent pick a location and what things they would like to do (within budgets!) Let restaurants, hotels, etc. know that it's someones birthday - they may get some extra "happy birthdays" or some special treatment.
6. Special birthday dinner menu chosen by the birthday boy/girl/parent or they can choose to go to the restaurant of their choice.
7. In addition to birthdays... celebrate 1/2 birthdays! Two times a year to feel "extra special!"
8. Keep your child home from school and enjoy the day with them.
9. Use a special birthday plate for the day.. only used for birthdays!
10. Take a picture of the the birthday celebrant with their cake right before they blow out their candles and enjoy the big cheers!
11. Make brownies instead of cake.
12. Make someone their favorite cake for their birthday (eg. pecan pie, angle food, etc.)
13. Have special chair back covers in various birthday themed designs - it sure helps decorate the room for a birthday celebration!
14. Take a picture of your child in the same place every year on their birthday and compare them every year!
15. Enjoy breakfast in bed! Everyone surprises the birthday boy/girl/parent with breakfast for everyone - jump in bed together & enjoy eating in pjs and snuggling up with each other.
